When I was in my first year of law school, I did horribly and got a 2:2. I once doubted if I could become a lawyer. This programme is born of my personal experience from the age of 18, when I was a first year law student with poor grades in Hong Kong, to how I went about being placed on the Dean’s list for two consecutive year, getting into Cambridge University for my master’s degree, securing a job at one of the world’s biggest international law firms in London and dual qualifying in New York and England as a foreigner.

Through my mentoring and support, the Pre-Law Academy aims to transform you into an all-rounded candidate (especially for individuals from first-generation and underrepresented backgrounds) from day one of your law school, and support you in becoming competitive applicants to some of the best law firms, barristers’ chambers and intergovernmenetal organisations in the world.

For my 4-week Pre-Law Academy programme, I have prepared a comprehensive set of materials (e.g. slide decks, additional guides and master cheatsheets) for each week’s coaching session. Depending on your CV and career goals, I will tailor each session to your unique needs and areas of weakness.
After the programme, I will continue to have ad-hoc coaching calls with you on an as-needed basis to monitor your career development. I will also offer ad-hoc CV and Cover Letter Reviews to all the alumni of Pre-Law Academy (until you secure your first internship!!). I will start as your coach and stay as your mentor.

Yet, given the demand for this programme and that the coaching is solely delivered by me, I cannot guarantee an immediate start and you are highly encouraged to apply at least a month in advance of your intended start date to avoid disappointment.
