This 4-week programme targets students planning to attend law school soon. When I was in my first year of law school, I did horribly and got a 2:2, I doubted if I could become a lawyer. Later on I realised law school and the legal job market are kinda like a game – you need to understand the rules clearly to nail it.
This pre-law course is born of my personal experience from the age of 18, when I was a first year law student with poor grades in Hong Kong, to how I went about being placed on the Dean’s list for two consecutive year, getting into Cambridge University for my master’s degree, securing a job at one of the world’s biggest international law firms in the City of London and dual qualifying in New York and England as a foreigner.
Apparently, my profile has hidden all of my previous failures. But the truth is we suck at everything we do first time around and you all, future lawyers, have to be better prepared because opportunities often arise when we least expect them.
